This feels like your aunt’s restaurant every time you come. You are family here. All are welcome. The food sticks to your gut and you WILL NOT leave hungry. The beer is the absolute coldest around. It’s a tradition that my wife who’s a school teacher finally gets to have lunch with me starts summer with a spicy hot steak and a schooner. She always says, “NOW IT’S SUMMER”. You can see the joy in her eyes. Come by, be nice, try the….. it’s all good!

We went last night for dinner for my husband’s birthday. The food was really good. Was it my favorite place in the world, maybe not but it definitely had great flavor and everything was fresh. We had to to wait over 2 hours to be seated. We did have a larger party of 14 people so that is understandable. Still a solid local place that’s been here since the 50’s. I would go back again and definitely recommend giving this place a try. We had the cod 2 piece and the chicken fried steak for under $40. Everyone else loved the food too. Only recommendation is to have reservations available. I feel that would definitely help with larger parties.

We came for lunch, wife and I had the chicken fried steak and son had a burger. Everything was fresh, hot and delicious. I had onion rings and the wife had fries, both were fresh as well. We’ve been here many times and enjoy every visit.

Stopped in on our way to a surprise engagement event. The food was great and the service was excellent. We ate at the bar to save time, Damian was our waiter, bartender and cashier. What an awesome experience. Will definitely be back thanks to the service provided by Damian. 5 Stars

This is a great bar and restaurant. I’ve been coming here since I was a kid. The staff is super friendly and the overall atmosphere is pleasant. The schooners here are a must! Ice cold beer poured straight from the tap, and into a frozen schooner is like a gift from heaven! Lol. My wife is also a huge fan of the their sangria. Various items from the menu are delicious. The bean and cheese nachos and onion rings as appetizers are tasty. The fried chicken and crispy dogs are also great to eat. My favorite plates are the fisherman’s platter and chicken fried steak. I’ll definitely keep on coming back. A San Antonio staple for sure!

Great place to get some delicious comfort food at a great price. Generous portion sizes will satisfy any hunger.

Revisited this place after a short absence. This is a really good place to get some local Mexican food. This place has been around for many years and serves the normal Mexican food menu items as well as some fish dishes. I had the had the crispy tacos dinner plate. Others in our party had chicken fried chicken or chicken fried steak plates, which came with a salad and a side. The best thing is the bar. It's one of the best places in town to get an 'ice' cold 16oz or 22oz beer in a schooner ... ahh, it is good!!! Definitely a place to visit, and be prepared to wait as they do get busy, especially of Friday and Saturday evenings

Wonderfully inexpensive and delicious! As soon as I walked in, I saw a mound of onion rings on a table and I knew I had to have some! I got a half order and it was a huge amount! You get a lot of food for the money. Great value, great home cooking and giant selection! Michelobe ultra on tap—in a icy schooner. Boy oh boy!

I first visited MK Davis back in the 80's. The restaurant has changed a lot. The food was delicious, the staff friendly and the atmosphere was inviting. My favorite part of my visit was the beer. Huge 32oz schooner. They were super cold, delicious and inexpensive. I will definitely recommend this restaurant. It's the best!
